Eagan's land use laws exist to ensure properties like Parkview remain as green open spaces for recreational use. Changing the zoning would impact Lebanon Hills Regional Park and surrounding lakes and neighborhoods while depriving kids and seniors an ideal place for outdoor exercise.

Did You Know....?

  • No final decision has been made by the City Council.
  • Citizens' voices can still help shape these decisions about the development. Attend meetings on Jan 22 and Feb 5th, or write in.
  • Traffic in existing neighborhoods could increase by 635 vehicles per day.
  • Officials are considering changing accesses to Cliff Road and Pilot Knob Road, including restricting existing intersections at Parkcliff Drive and Dunberry Lane.
  • A Senior Housing complex with 100 units is part of the plan. Update: The latest proposal removed the senior complex but increased the number of houses from 173 to 177.
  • The City may add additional fields to Ohmann Park, increasing traffic issues further.
  • A number of lots as small as 65 feet are proposed, impacting surrounding property values.
  • Buffers between Lebanon Hills Park and the new houses could be as small as 10 feet, impacting park users and affecting plans for new trails.
